Thanks to all my mates for coming out to the circus last night for my birthday. It was a brilliant surprise. I think I've got the best mates in the entire world.

Realised I hadn't given you lot an update about how things have been going here since the attack. Obviously we're not dead or anything. We got everything cleaned up, and everything's back to normal, or whatever normal is around here, but some people still seem on edge. Can't really blame them. I slept with the horses for a couple days there because they were jittery and wouldn't settle and I was worr. I know you lot are probably worried about coming out to see us but nothing's happened since. We're not about to stop doing what we do and have done for centuries although someand Maximus is doing everything he can to make sure we're all safe.

THAT SAID we're moving to Northampton so come visit and so on. We'll be there starting next week.

there's fire everywhere around the perimeter and people with masks and someone wrote in fire that Viola's a blood traitor

they're trying to get in but our wards are holding for now but some of the lions got loose and I think one's dead and a couple of the winged horses and I'm not sure what else yet but it'd be really bad if the manticore got out right now, just send someone to help round them up and make these people go away we're outside Weston, Somerset

I hate the full moon. We've got to stay inside, and yeah, I get why, but my LIVELIHOOD isn't inside with me, and it's shit that Ma makes me hang around here for these few nights a month when I'd rather be sitting with the horses instead. They MISS ME, I can feel it.

Every month I end up thinking I should've gone for something like Vi did, instead of something with animals, but then I remember I probably would've been miserable.

ANYWAY let's not dwell on that. Valentine's Day is right around the corner and it looks like I'm in the market for a date. I don't have any brilliant applications like Arkie did, but I'm a good date (just ask Catie) and I have a brilliant winged horse you could ride with me. Beat THAT, Arkie.

So how goes it with the little tyke?

I spent a couple days teaching Victor Ketteridge all about what I do, which was really great because I love showing people what we do. We do that pretty regularly, yeah, but the one-on-one thing gave me more of a chance to talk about it, rather than just show off. He got to see all the horses, winged and otherwise, up close and personal. I love all our horses, but the winged ones are special. That's what makes what we do different, that's what makes me different, and it's nice when people take a real interest in them.

THEN I talked to my sister Vi about it and we thought other people might be interested in one-on-one time with us where we teach you. You can pay to get backstage sometimes, but this wouldn't just be a tour, this would be me teaching you how to ride my winged horse Inferno, and how to keep your balance when you're standing on him. That sort of thing. We'd start simple and on the ground first, but if you kept up with it and could handle it, we could do more complicated things.

And Viola's agreed to show people how to do the aerial silk like she does so well, and we could even do trapeze. I could teach you how to juggle! I don't think a lot of people really get how much work goes into this, and maybe that's part of the fun and we'd be ruining it by teaching you some of the basic stuff, but I think it could be fun.

Would anyone actually want to learn anything? We can work out prices and all that later. Our days off are always Mondays and Tuesdays, but I get that doesn't work for a lot of people, so I know I could do early mornings on Saturdays and Sundays before our afternoon and evening shows.

Awful news in the Prophet this morning. I don't like thinking about how things like that even happen. Don't think it matters much who he was or where he was from or what sort of family he came from, it's no good either way. Everyone's got family somewhere, that's what I keep on thinking about.
